Choosing a projector for meeting rooms and boardrooms
In a meeting room the projector has to be readable with the lights on, sharp enough for spreadsheets, and ready the moment someone plugs in a laptop.

Screen size: let the back row read
A common rule: the picture height should be at least one sixth of the distance to the furthest seat. For a room 6 m deep that's a picture about 1 m high — roughly a 75-inch 16:10 screen, or bigger.
Resolution for documents
WUXGA (1920×1200) shows spreadsheets and small text clearly and matches most laptop screens. WXGA is fine for simple slides in small rooms.
Laser or lamp?
- Laser: no lamp changes, instant on and off, steady brightness for years — ideal for rooms used every day.
- Lamp: lower price; budget for replacement lamps and a little warm-up time.
- Check the connections: HDMI for laptops, and LAN if IT wants to manage projectors centrally.

Frequently asked questions
How many lumens does a meeting room projector need?
Usually 3,500–5,000 ANSI lumens if the lights stay on; more for big rooms with windows.
Projector or a large TV?
TVs suit small rooms. Above about 85 inches, a projector gives a bigger picture for less money and is easier to fit in a boardroom.
Can you help fit out several rooms?
Yes — request a quotation or book a site survey and we'll recommend projectors, screens and mounts for each room.
