Office & classroom projectors
Meeting rooms and classrooms are usually used with the lights on, so brightness and sharp text matter more than cinema-style contrast. These projectors are built for daily use, easy connection from laptops, and low running costs.
Choosing brightness for a meeting room or classroom
| Room | Brightness to look for |
|---|---|
| Small meeting room (4–8 people), blinds closed | 3,000 – 3,500 lumens |
| Classroom or boardroom, lights on | 3,500 – 4,500 lumens |
| Training hall or large classroom (50+ people) | 4,500 – 6,000 lumens |
XGA, WXGA or WUXGA?
- XGA (1024×768, 4:3): the most affordable — fine for slides and older 4:3 content.
- WXGA (1280×800, widescreen): matches most laptop screens; a good everyday choice.
- WUXGA (1920×1200): sharp spreadsheets, CAD drawings and small text; best for boardrooms.
Lamp, LED or laser?
Lamp projectors cost the least to buy; lamps need replacing every few thousand hours (we stock spare lamps). Laser models cost more up front but need no lamp changes and switch on instantly — worth it for rooms used all day.
